About Deborah Morrow
Deborah Forbush Morrow Deborah grew up next door to a thoroughbred farm in Baltimore, Maryland. She fell in love with horses, drawing and music and she knew she would create a life around all three passions. Mentoring with one of Baltimore's premier illustrators, she decided to be a graphic designer instead with more free time for vocal lessons through Alice Stringer of Baltimore, and also decided to learn to ride horses. She worked at The Johns Hopkins Hospital as a graphic designer, and then went on to work for two commercial printers, Schneidereith and Sons, and E. John Schmitz and Sons, where she viewed color and designed books for the various museums in Washington, D.C. In 1998, she relocated to Northern Virginia, and cared for a fox hunting farm while she became established in a new area. She had her own photography business, specializing in equine photography, and traveling seven times to photograph the Rolex Three-Day Event in Lexington, Kentucky. All the while, she was caring for horses and worked at several veterinary practices, managed a Dutch Warmblood farm owned by breeder Loucky Hagens of the Netherlands, and showed her photography and art at various local fairs and festivals around Loudoun County, Virginia. She combines her drawing and painting with transfer techniques and creates one of a kind art pieces. https://DeborahMorrowPhotography.smugmug.com, 571-442-2188, hackberry@mindspring.com In 2022, she came back to Otium Cellars in Purcellville, Virginia with her artwork, mixed media and photography, where you can purchase her work off the wall! See Deborah's work also at Art in the Piedmont in Middleburg, Virginia.
